Winter holidays at Flumserberg

Flumserberg is the largest winter sports destination between Zurich and Chur – and is right on the doorstep of Hotel Gräpplang.

This snow-sure ski resort is perched directly above Lake Walen. Thanks to modern snow-making facilities, good snow conditions are reliable from December to the end of April; if winter arrives early, the ski resort opens as early as November.

What makes Flumserberg special is that it isn't a mountain for just one group of people. Families, experienced skiers, winter walkers and cross-country skiers: everyone can find their place here without getting in each other's way.

Skiing & snowboarding – from blue to black.

65 kilometres of slopes are spread across easy, intermediate and challenging runs. Beginners and families will find wide, gentle slopes, whilst experienced skiers will get their money's worth at the Leist – with challenging runs and a view that makes it all worthwhile when your legs start to feel heavy.

If you're looking for more than just slopes, you'll find it here too: the Family Snow Park between Prodkamm and Prodalp is suitable for the whole family, whilst 'The Real Park' at Prodalp offers features and jumps for experienced freestylers.

A highlight for anyone who enjoys the mountain even after dark: the Nightride opens on Fridays. The Flumserberg Galaxie transforms the floodlit slope into something special with its light displays.

Winter walking & snowshoeing – nature & the mountains.

Those who prefer to experience winter on foot will find a network of trails at Flumserberg that’s well worth exploring even without skis. 35 kilometres of groomed winter walking trails lead through snow-covered forests, offering views of the mountains and Lake Walen, and numerous mountain restaurants along the way invite you to stop for a break.

Those who wish to go snowshoeing will find plenty of space in the winter landscape around Flumserberg to really get away from it all. Guided tours are available – a good option for anyone who is not yet familiar with the area and would like to experience the landscape with some background information.

Cross-country skiing – through snow and silence.

The cross-country ski trails at Flumserberg wind their way through peaceful countryside and snow-covered forests at an altitude of over 1,400 metres – offering both classic and skating styles, for beginners and advanced skiers alike.

Around 20 kilometres of groomed trails are available, including a trail for dogs. Changing rooms, cloakrooms and a heated waxing room are available free of charge at the Sennästube restaurant. Tickets and equipment are available directly on the mountain.
