Where can I park my car?
The special location is part of what makes a stay here: even the final few metres of the approach make your arrival a moment to savour.

- parking spaces are available right next to the hotel
How do you get there in winter?
The access road to Gräpplang is cleared and lit during winter – however, there may be brief delays in the event of heavy fresh snowfall. We recommend allowing a little extra time in wintry conditions and checking with us briefly if you are unsure.
Which airport is closest to the hotel?
Zurich Airport is about 70 minutes’ drive from Gräpplang.

Which station is closest to the hotel?
The nearest station is Flums. From there, we recommend continuing your journey by taxi – we'd be happy to help you organize the transfer if you'd like.
- The station is about a 25-minute walk from Hotel Gräpplang.
Is there an electric charging point nearby?
Yes – there is an electric vehicle charging point right next to the hotel. There is a fee for using it.
Booking & Cancellation
Is it worth booking directly?
Yes, anyone who books directly via our website is guaranteed the best price. No middlemen, no surcharges, and with the option to request a specific room.
What payment methods are accepted?

What are the cancellation terms?
- up to 7 days before the start of your holiday – free cancellation
- after that, 100 % of the total package price
In the event of a refund of payments already made, we charge a flat-rate administration fee of CHF 90.– (per booking).
How can I book for groups or business groups?
For group and business bookings of 5 rooms or more, please send your enquiry directly by email to stay@graepplang.ch. We’d be happy to put together a bespoke group offer for you!

Yes – free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms and public areas.
Do you offer hypoallergenic bed linen?
Yes, please let us know when you make your reservation so we can prepare everything for your stay.
Are there accessible rooms?
Hotel Gräpplang is a historic building – unfortunately, we do not have accessible rooms available. If you have any specific requirements, please get in touch with us in advance so that we can work together to find the best solution.
Are there any extra charges for babies?
Children are welcome – right from day one.
- Babies aged 0 to 2 stay free of charge in their parents’ room. We’re happy to provide cots on request. Cost: CHF 15 per night.
As not all rooms are the same size, we recommend that families get in touch with us before booking – we'll be happy to help you choose the right room category.
How often are the towels changed?
Towels are changed every three days. An additional change costs CHF 15 per person.
Is the room cleaned every day?
- Every day, we offer a turndown service along with a quick check of the bathroom.
- We give your room a full clean every three days.
Can my dog come with me?
We're happy to welcome every guest, but we're sorry to say dogs aren't allowed.
Is there a lift?
Hotel Gräpplang is a historic building, so there's no lift. You'll reach the rooms via the staircase.
Are the rooms equipped with air conditioning?
Yes – all rooms are air-conditioned, for cool nights even on warm summer days.

Is there a visitor’s card offering discounts?
Yes – from your first night's stay, you'll receive the Heidiland Experience Pass. With this, you can enjoy attractive discounts on over 50 services and offers throughout the Heidiland holiday region. The pass is valid from the day of arrival until the day of departure.

Where is Flums? What attractions are there nearby?
Flums lies in the canton of St. Gallen, nestled between Lake Walen and the foothills of the Alps – a region that has more to offer than just beautiful views. Gräpplang lies above the village, amidst the vineyards, with the mountains right on its doorstep.
- FLUMSERBERG – the second-largest ski resort in Eastern Switzerland, offering 65 kilometres of slopes in winter and hiking and mountain bike trails in summer. Ten minutes' drive from Hotel Gräpplang.
- WALENSEE – one of Switzerland's most beautiful mountain lakes, framed by steep rock faces. Just a short drive away.
- TAMINA THERME BAD RAGAZ – thermal water straight from the gorge, twenty minutes away. Ideal for a peaceful day after a day in the mountains.
- HEIDIDORF MAIENFELD – the village that inspired Johanna Spyri to write the story of Heidi. A trip well worth taking for families and literature lovers alike.
- PIZOL – one of the region's most striking peaks. For anyone who really wants to go hiking.
